Russia’s Rosinterbank stops servicing clients
MOSCOW, Sep 15 (PRIME) -- Rosinterbank, included in Russia’s 100 largest banks in terms of assets, has completely stopped providing services to its clients, the bank said on its Web site on Thursday.
“Individual and corporate clients will not be serviced at Rosinterbank’s offices and branches starting from September 15 (Thursday) in order to stabilize the bank’s financial performance,” the bank’s statement said.
A source told PRIME that the central bank disconnected Rosinterbank from its Banking Electronic Speedy Payment System (BESP) on Wednesday.
According to RIA Rating, Rosinterbank ranked 68th as of late June with assets standing at 102.3 billion rubles. In accordance with the bank’s latest financial report, retail deposits with the bank exceed 55 billion rubles.
